Lisa Pekar, Stylist and Colorist

Lisa Pekar, stylist and color expert, joined the Sweet Lily Salon hair care team after being recognized by Seattle Magazine as the Puget Sound area’s Top Colorist. Lisa started out as an actress in New York, but backstage she discovered that her passion and talents were behind the chair, rather than sitting in it.

Lisa studied and apprenticed with nationally-known stylists and hair care experts, including:

• Vidal Sasoon Advanced Academy in Los Angeles
• Tony & Guy Advanced Academy in New York City and Seattle
• Greenwood Academy, Seattle
• Redkin, Seattle
• John Sahag, New York
• Italy hair color certified

After an extensive apprenticeship at Bocz Salon, Lisa was recruited by Jeremy Todd to be part of his commissioned hair styling team, where she further developed her expertise in styling and coloring techniques.  Next, Lisa leased a chair at Trine Studios, where she grew a repeat client base in the Ballard area.

Lisa joined Sweet Lily Salon because she was looking for a fully-organic salon that let her develop an individual, personal relationship with her customers. 

“I work in an industry that allows me to know my clients inside and out,” Pekar said. “By working with their hair  – whether it involves finding a solution for covering stubborn grays, exploring age-appropriate yet fashion-forward styles, or trying out a dramatic new look – I want them to leave my chair feeling fantastic about who they are and how they look. That makes it a great day at the office for me.”
